Imagine having furniture made that perfectly sits where you need it to be. It has just the right number of drawers. Or it can accommodate the whole family for dinner. Or it will define a functional and beautiful space where before there was mediocrity or banality. It will last a lifetime or more. The important thing is to create, for you, your ideal piece.
You may have a clear vision of what this looks like, or you may be completely open to suggestion. More often, the design process is mixture of both. A visit to your home is helpful to familiarise myself with the space and environment where the piece will sit and to get a greater understanding of your taste and lifestyle.
The design process involves presentation of a number of designs, sometimes involving scale models and further refinement until you are confident and happy with the piece.
Once a design is finalised, the budget and a timescale can be agreed. After an initial payment the timber is carefully selected and allowed to acclimatise to the workshop, then the making can begin.
You will of course be welcome to come to the workshop and view your furniture taking shape at any point in the process.
I will organise and be present for final delivery and installation. The piece will then be yours to cherish and enjoy.
